Gold - 70 OOAK Opal Ammonite Pendant
- Description
A symbol of transformation and expansion, spiritual growth and awakening, the Ammonite has always captivated my attention. With its perfect spiral shape - an ancient embodiment of the golden ratio. Fibonacci's sequence, a fundamental building block of the universe. Ammonites lived between 240-65 million years ago and were wiped out with the dinosaurs. The opalization of the outer layer of these fossils is called Ammolite and occurs over millions of years under pressure as minerals are slowly replaced.
This fossil was found in Madagascar.
One of a kind setting. Measures approximately 1" diameter not including the bail. I hand carved an open setting to show the front and back of this beautiful little fossil.
