SUSTAINABLY MADE

Sustainably minded

The choices we make in our lifetimes have considerable impact on people and the planet. When it comes to the jewelry industry there is a large margin for improvement. Traditional gold mining in particular is notoriously dirty - read more about gold mining here.

It is a top priority for me to design my pieces with integrity and intention - I choose materials that have been sourced with care for the environment, improving the lives of mining communities and artisan stone cutters with fair wages and safe working conditions. Below are some of my standards for design...

ETHICALLY SOURCED STONES

Traceable raw earth minerals ethically sourced, responsibly mined, artisan cut - Working closely with small mining communities and ethically sourced stone traders provides meaningful income for small mining communities while advocating for the adoption of higher mining standards. I feel a deep connection to the source and story of these energetic gems and hope this translates in the careful details of my work.

Diamonds are either post consumer or Conflict-free regulated by the Kimberly Process.

Occasionally I work with break out stones - antique and vintage material from estate and private collections.

FAIRMINED GOLD

Fairmined certified gold comes from artisanal and small-scale mining organizations certified to the Fairmined standard. This certification guarantees that the gold has been extracted in harmony with nature, human dignity and sustainable development, contributing to the transformation of lives in these mining communities.

Heirloom Quality

Made to last with an emphasis on repairability. Each design is cast in solid 14 karat gold or sterling silver, carefully crafted to withstand the test of time.

Collecting heirloom quality jewelry is an investment to be proud of.
In today's world of fast and disposable fashion, costume plated jewelry and cheap thrills, it is rewarding to curate your collection with care.

MADE TO ORDER

Most of my pieces are made to order, carefully cast and finished upon purchase with you in mind. This offers up a high energetic level of care and attention to detail that I can actually feel upon finishing a piece. The same energy goes into my one of a kind work, made in small batches and released periodically throughout the year.

I do have a small collection of inventory ready to ship from the studio. For made to order you can expect a 2-3 week lead time for your jewelry to be finished.

Why is this important? This method allows me to make on demand, freeing up resources like time and precious metals, keeping costs down, reducing the amount of inventory I "sit" on and offering more time to keep the creative ideas flowing.

ECO PACKAGING

Our eco friendly jewelry boxes are made from 40% recycled box board and are 100% recyclable. But best of all they are sturdy enough for many years of use and are a great way to keep your jewelry safe from damage when you are not wearing it. All shipments use eco friendly shipping materials, from boxes, to labels and tape.

PRECIOUS METAL SWEEPS

I take care to preserve and reuse all precious metal scraps from the bench.
